Downtown Art Walk
LA's only monthly art walk kicks off '09 with a series of girl-centered shows. Pharmaka's New Mythologies presents the works of six LA-based female artists, divulging universal themes of spirituality, science, and psychology. Phantom Galleries and THE Magazine explore themes of feminine power in What’s the Matter with Mommy, the Hang-Over, a multimedia celebration of alternative icons featuring 30+ artists. Phantom's huge adjacent space in the PE Lofts on Main & 6th hosts Lilli Muller's four-person curatorial project, Change is the Only Constant...part 2. Much more as always will be going on, so be sure to make it down, especially if you haven’t checked one of these out yet
