"Enkindu & Gilgamesh" by João Ruas The good folks over at Sidebar Nation just posted a great podcast interview with Brazilian artist João Ruas. It's great to hear him talk about his art in his own words, and his English is 10x better than our Portugese, so it's a pretty easy listen overall.
João (pronounced "Joo-whoa") just took over the reigns from James Jean for Vertigo's 'Fables' series, and is well known via his inclusion in past issues of the Spectrum book series as well. Listen to the interview to find out more about this emerging artist.
